HOW TO FIND US

BUCKLEY & BUCKLEY

Our offices opened in New Haven, Connecticut in 1980, fulfilling a father and daughter's lifelong dream to practice law together.

John J. Buckley, after service in the Army Air Force in World War II, graduated Yale University and the University of Connecticut law school. In 1962, he and his then-partner founded the New Haven law firm of Buckley & Parrett, then becoming Buckley, Parrett & Porto, practicing in the area of negligence, personal injury. criminal defense and family law with John splitting his time between business and the practice. John returned to business until 1980, when he returned to the law with his daughter, before becoming of counsel.

Melissa A. Buckley practices alone in the firm since May, 2018 and her father's death. She, like her father was, is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Connecticut law school. The practice now is in the areas of Social Security Disability and Family and Divorce, and in New Haven county and throughout Connecticut.

The attorney offices are located conveniently across from the New Haven courthouse and a short distance from the Social Security Hearings office and District office in New Haven, Connecticut. The office is handicap accessible.
