OUR REAL ESTATE PRACTICE

You have found the house of your dreams. Now what? You want a lawyer who will explain the documents, explain the process and let you feel that someone with your interests only in mind is guiding you through to the moment you receive the keys.

We have more than 32 years experience representing buyers, sellers, mortgage lenders and a credit union in the sale and purchase of real estate, including single family homes, condominiums, multi-family homes and commercial real estate in New Haven county and throughout Connecticut.

We enjoy the practice of real estate law. We also enjoy representing first time buyers, as it is an opportunity to share our knowledge and experience and so that we can make this a smooth and anxiety-free experience as is possible and you get to enjoy your wonderful, new home.

OUR SERVICES

IF YOU ARE A BUYER: A full explanation of our fees, followed by a retainer letter, an immediate appointment to review your contract, going over the contingencies and dates in detail, so that you will feel comfortable with understanding your obligations and rights, and a review of all disclosures from your mortgage lender, so you will understand for what you have applied and how much it will cost you. We will advise you of all steps in the process and assist you in reviewing all documents. At closing, we will explain every document that you sign or is part of the closing. We know that the more you understand about the process and the documents, the better you will feel.

IF YOU ARE A SELLER: A full explanation of our fees, followed by a retainer letter and then to make it as smooth and as easy as possible, so you feel like all you have to do is pack and receive your proceeds. We will arrange for the mortgage payoffs, the date and time of the closing, and counsel you on any issues that may arise.
