For some people, whose medical conditions do not meet the level of the listed impairments, their conditions or a combination of their conditions that result in functional restrictions, in combination with their vocational profile (age, eduation, work experience) may "direct" a finding of disabled, as result of their residual functional capacity (what they can do in terms of lifting and carrying and walking and standing). The rules that correlate the vocational profile with the residual functional capacity are known as "Grids." The three pages, below, are the rules under the grids.
